The hotel was quirky and cosy. Was lovely inside with period decor throughout. Very clean and the Staff couldn't do enough for you. Also makes a change to find a hotel with a bath. Stunning bedroom with everything you required. We'll what can we say about the bed? It was huge and one of the most comfortable beds We have ever slept in. Amazing! They also have plug sockets next to the bed which is great if you have to use medical devices when you sleep. Also the fact they have free parking in the middle of town. Easy walking access to local amenities.

Location was great, staff were very friendly, extremely welcoming and super-helpful. On-site parking very useful. Superb bed, very comfortable. TV in room was good, great reception and easy to use! Shower gel and hand-wash provided, however there was no hand-wash in the dispenser the first night, which meant it hadn't been checked for a while...but this was filled up when we mentioned it to housekeeping staff the following day. There was a live jazz band on Friday night which we enjoyed watching with some of the locals. Drinks from the hotel bar were very reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good value for money. A good choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts and fruit juices. English breakfast cooked to order, lovely fried bread 😋 and extra items available on request. Hotel was clean and comfortable.

Perfectly situated in the town centre, great old building with traditional decor. The floor boards in our room were quite squeaky, it was fun trying to work out a route that avoided the squeaks so we didn't disturb our neighbours, (doing this when you've had a few was more than a little amusing 😆). We met 5 members of staff, they were all very friendly & polite. Breakfast was excellent, perfectly cooked & our waitress was was a treasure. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely traditional old hotel, right in the heart of historic Beverley. Our room was on an upper floor which gave us rooftop views over part of the town centre. Our room was warm, comfortable and contained everything needed. Unlike most modern hotels, the Lairgate has plenty of informal, communal space for it's guests to relax in and the grand central staircase is a real gem. We regularly visit the area and have no idea why we haven't used the Lairgate previously but will certainly do so again.

We stay here 2-3 times a year, it’s so warm and friendly and the bar area is cosy, like home from home, relaxing and a great place for a quiet drink witch friends, we always have breakfast which is excellent with a good choice, even vegetarian, rooms are clean with everything you need, we look forward to staying here

The room (no. 7) was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom with bath. Windows that actually opened and it was quiet !! Excellent cleaners. The breakfast was varied and beautifully cooked and the staff - particularly reception and breakfast - were so friendly and helpful.

Our room was large and comfortable, in an old style but functional. Like the rest of the hotel it could do with a little tlc, needs a kick of paint and general attention. Having said that it was certainly very clean. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and polite and we were able to check into our room a little early which was great. The hotel is situated close to the centre, just one road back from the main street and also within easy walking distance of the railway station. We would stay here again if the price was right.

Location and the staff where Amazing couldn’t do enough for us we stayed for our wedding in the town centre breakfast was lovely. The bed was so comfortable and it was very warm getting ready for my wedding and ans the staff brought fans I couldn’t fault it and most definitely would Stay again. 💗
